How Is Great Blog handles account, newsletter, analytics and enquiry information.
Reader reactions and favourites
When enabled, thumbs and hearts use a random token for each guide on your browser or app. Thumbs and reasons are private; love counts are public. Favourites require an account and sync across devices. We give administrators aggregate counts, never your favourites list. You can change or remove reactions and favourites. Daily aggregate trends are retained for 13 months; retry records expire after 24 hours. The mobile app downloads your favourites over Wi-Fi. Signing out removes account-specific downloads and pending changes from that device; previously saved anonymous guides remain.
Information we use
We minimise personal information and use it only for the service or request you choose. Analytics events must not contain names, emails, free text or private URLs.
Your choices
Traffic measurement remains active before a choice and after rejection. Public pages send cookieless Google measurement with storage denied by default; accepting identifiable analytics allows analytics cookies for repeat visits. Advertising storage and personalisation remain denied. Private pages and visits that cannot run JavaScript are counted through aggregate edge-request reports. Raw security/access logs are restricted and expire after 30 days; aggregate reports exclude IP addresses, cookies, account identifiers, query strings and referrers. Cookieless measurement is not a promise that Google processes no request metadata. The mobile app refreshes Google consent information at launch, shows required regional choices and keeps Privacy choices available in its menu. Rejecting personalisation or iOS tracking does not block the travel guides. Newsletter preferences can be paused or unsubscribed at any time.
Mobile advertising data
The mobile app may use Google AdMob after consent eligibility is established. Depending on your choices and platform settings, Google's SDK may process advertising identifiers, app interactions, device information and diagnostics to deliver, limit, measure and protect ads. IsGreat.au does not send search text, account data or precise location to its advertising decision service.
